#1.) yes, i have experience some ah moments on advertising like i didn't know how companies change how things look so that consumers would buy that product. I also learn that their is a lot of sexuality in commercial in product being sold.

#2.) No, i didn't have any confusion on concept or text. I think that learning about advertising is very help and good to know what companies are doing with product you buy.

#3.) The concept and skills that i hope to explore in the learning more about advertising and also learning more about how product we buy can effect the world and environment.

#4.) If i could study one thing about the unit it would be studying about how technology damages our world and what we can do to prevent it and make are earth cleaner.

#1.) No, I don't think that all of the character are content with their lifestyle because on page 89 it talk about how Violet answer the question if going to the mall was fun and she say it was okay maybe she doesn't like how things are going an is getting bored of it. Also when Quendy had ask her if she like the feature of the mountain and she said that it was okay.

#2.)The things that is are consider appropiate was holding hand at the store on page 108. The inappropriate behavoir were Violet showing off her lesion on page 96 and smiled putting her finger inside the collar of his shirt.

#3.)The character that i see following versus not following the rules are Violet she seem to be showing of alot and doing things inappropriate.

#4.) On page 102 ( He earmarking all different stuff.) Also on page 106( Nina their personal Foodtech shopping assistant.)

The things that I think have negative effects of advanced technology in "Feed" are that they talk about the weather how back then the temperature wouldn't be over 100 degree but now it's probably over 100 degree. Another thing also is that they talk about how their use to be a lot of bird and trees and now they hardly see it anymore. They also talk about how they live and the type of transportation they used. For example they have up cars and lived on small piece of land. Now they have to go to places in a tube and maybe the air is bad and they can't be outside doing the things they want to do. Page 94

HYPOTHESIS: I think that the advanced technology in FEED caused the negative effects because they relied on that technology to much. It change things by destroying them and not being their anymore. It effects the Earth and living things on the planet. This has change many things in feed like the weather, transportation, and the way people do things because of less resource that is available for them to use.

I think feed is a computer chip that in their head. It helps the character in the book get what information in they want fast. I think that it is a computer chip in their head  because of the way they describe feed. For example they talk about how the police had to turn off their computer, and they couldn't get in contact with feed for awhile. Feed influenced the lives of the the character because it's a technology that they are so in love with. It where they get all or most of their information from. They get things answer and hear commercial from feed. The things that they do are mostly from the advice that feed gives. Feed differentiate the characters life from our own because it has a lot of information that useful and it also have many function in it. It can give you the things you want. One thing that different is that we don' t get to experience the same technology as the character because we might had an advanced version of "Feed".

We know that the characters are on the moon  for their spring break, and the are having fun there. They seem to like teenagers because of the way the act and the things they do. The world that they are living is boring so they wanted to go to the moon to live in a more interesting place. In the moon they live were is it has no gravity. Their world is different from our world because know we have more technology that make our world more advanced and make things easier for people. Their life is the same because sometimes things are boring in life and sometimes you get to explore new things.

This is about a woman joining the Navy at that time. This type of propaganda is called "Appeal to Authority"and "flag -waving. The message in this poster is telling us that they want to recruit some women to be in the war. It show a women in the poster and how happy she is to be in the Navy. It also show how being in the navy is a cool thing. They made the background of the poster in Navy and blue to capture people attention. Another thing also is that they made the word "NAVY" very larger than the other word. The intended audience would be women because a lot of people are dead and are trying to recruit women in the Navy. At that time women were usually suppose to be a stay at home women and cook, clean, and watch their kids. But by recruiting them it would make to closer to their husband and other people. The technology help by giving information to women about recruiting and how they can help the world. It also challenge them are they as strong as mens.

I am doing it the Korean poster against America. This type of propaganda is called "Appeal to authority", and "Appeal to fear. This is the message that i get from are that it shows picture of the u.s Capitol building and some bombs shooting at it. It telling the American to watch out because they are coming for them. Another thing also is that it shows how the Capitol is broken apart and the American flag is ripped apart. The audience is referring this message to the American and the people who is a part of starting a war. What the Korean would do if they start invading. In this picture the technique that they use are animation to focus on what types of attack they are going to do. The Korean might feel bad about taking their or other people land and how the American like to control a lot of places. The image make people picture it more at that time of what might happened to them, so if you see it on a poster it's like a warning for you and you should watch out for it.

The things that they are trying say is that not eating meat is a good thing because you don't have to kill animal. I think that they are trying to to make people eat more vegetables and fruit to make people become more healthier, because now young kids are being overweight and obese. They also want people to eat something simply, because you know when you kill animal it goes through a lot of process. If people were to eat simply that they could get pick and wash that's healthy and editable it would be easy. They are basically targeting everyone because they want to change how the world eat by not eating meat. Another thing also is that people who eat fruit and vegetables only can have a hard time meeting their daily needs of protein and protein helps are body a lot. They way they say it and the beat in the background it make you feel bad when they you eat a lot of meat because your killing a lot of animals and animals are helpful to have in the nature and around the world. Yes their are messages that are loaded, when they say that animal are are friends but that show animals such as dog and not animal that american people would typically eat. For example pigs, cow, and chicken. Also their was this one guy that said he won 12 boxing championship in a row, that's like telling the audience if become vegetarian you would be like him.

The information that the army provide is all the good things about the army but not the bad things. For example it shows how like being in the army would make you more of a stronger person that not true because you don't have to be in the army to become a strong person. Another thing also is the information that they with hold from the army is that you might die or don't get to see your family for a long time. Another thing they with hold is how hard it is and the training that your going to do to prepare you. I think that they are trying to target young adult so that in the future they could become strong. By targeting these audience with the type of music and action they did makes young adult want to be interested in the army. The things that i felt was a little sadness in the clip because it show the army doing their thing and wait until a long time to see their family. Another thing also is that it show how going to the army would make you rich when you come back. Yes i think that their are some loaded words for example they had one solider helping a kid that in the middle of a fight. 

presentation

The things that i like about the presentation is that i like the video clips that were chosen because it was toward a specific topic. I like how the different team did a counter representation because not a lot of people would do that. They would just do about why it bad but don't know a way we could change it. I thought that all of the topics were interesting to watch. I learn that music video and other types of media are mostly pointed to little kids so as they grow up they are more likely to act like that....

media use on 09/12/09

Today I didn't use media as much because the weather was so hot so i didn't watch as much t.v as a would on a Saturday. I think that the weather have and effect on media use because if your inside your house when it's really hot watching t.v it's uncomfortable. So, since my house was really hot and the fan didn't help much that had effect on my media use. On this day i was pretty much outside a lot enjoying the weather.

why i use so little media...........

I use my cell phone today and about 10 minutes on the computer. I also spent about an hour on watching television. I than realize that the show are getting boring so i don't watch to much television now. Another thing that i realize is that using a lot of technology makes you lose interest in it a couple minutes later. I get tired after soccer game and practice so i don't really have time to use technology as before of the soccer season.................

how much media i use on 9/9/09......

I realize that right now i am so busy with soccer that i hardly use technology. Today i had use my phone a couple of time and less than 30 minutes on the computer. Being busy with sport makes you spend less time on media use because of all the game and practice that you need to go through and when you come home your tired and have less free time. You also have to do your homework and other things.
